How Does Colchester Korban Project Help?
Depending on a young persons circumstances, we can help them to look at their options and make decisions about what they want to do.
If they need emergency accommodation, and fit our criteria, we may be able to offer a short stay with one of our volunteer families whilst we look, with other local agencies, at what the options are. Colchester Safestay scheme.
We will help them stay in, (or begin) further education to gain qualifications that will help them build a better future.
If they need someone to help with appointments and applications, we are able to offer that support.
If they need a listening ear, one of our team of befrienders will be happy to meet up with them.
If family mediation is an option, we can arrange it.
If someone has recently come out of prison and doesn't want to return to their old way of life, we can help them make an application to the 'Out For Good' scheme.
